In this edition: Happy Holidays! As this will be our last Tips & Tricks newsletter for 2007, we'd also like to wish you all the best for 2008! Quicker Form Filling But there will be many forms to fill out if you shop online. If you don't like going from your keyboard to your mouse and back again to select different fields and check different boxes, you may like to know that there's a way to do it all with your keyboard. To move between fields (i.e. First Name, Last Name, Address Line 1, etc.), press the Tab key on your keyboard. You can also move back by pressing Shift + Tab. While tabbing, if you come across a checkbox you wish to select, press your Spacebar to select it. Press it again, to de-select it. Changing Your Email Address If you use Hotmail, Gmail / Google Mail, Yahoo Mail, you can't actually change your email address. But there's nothing from stopping you creating a new one that's easier to remember. Each of these main email providers make it very easy to sign up from their web sites. After creating a new account, what do you do with your old account? Well, there are three options we'd recommend you choose from:
For the last two options, you may want to set up an auto-reply that tells anyone who sends you email that you've changed address to whatever your new one is. But only, of course, if you're not changing emails due to spam. You don't want to let the spammers know your new email address. Of course, don't forget to tell all your friends, family and business contacts that you've changed email address. Outlook Holidays To add holidays in Outlook, go to Tools > Options. In the Preferences tab, click the Calendar Options button, then click Add Holidays. You'll be shown a list countries from which you can choose to add as many holidays as you want. Simply select the country (or countries) who's holidays you want to see in your Outlook calendar and click OK. It will then import all of the holidays for the countries you've selected. Just click OK when it's done and that's it.
