NEWS
Media Investigator v4.2 was released on December 3, 2006 and fixed a few minor bugs. So, if you haven’t already, take a moment to download the latest version from www.DigitalFileRecovery.com.

Keep an eye on your inbox over the next couple weeks for our free New Year special report. As you know, this newsletter is all about how to keep your PC running quickly, efficiently and securely with as little of your time as possible. Well, the free special report is going to allow you to have the most important information right at your fingertips whenever you need it.

Website Debugging
If your web surfing is getting interrupted on some web sites with an error message asking you if you’d like to debug the scripting error, that error message is no use to you unless you happen to be the web developer for that site. For those of you that aren’t web site developers, you probably don’t want to have those error messages appear.

The good news is that it’s easy to turn those error messages off. In Internet Explorer, simply Tools / Internet Options and then select the Advanced tab. Check the checkbox next to “Disable script debugging” under the “Browsing” heading.

That’s it. No more script debugging error messages will appear when you visit a site with a few flaws.

Unclutter Word
If you use Microsoft Word a lot either for reading or basic writing and wish you could only see the document rather than all the distracting menus and buttons, you’re in luck.

Just go to View / Full Screen in Word and that’s it. The screen will then change to only show you the document with no menu bars and the only button there will be the Close Full Screen button to get you back to the usual view with all of those menus and buttons that make Word so powerful.

Another Word Tip
Ever wonder what that drawing canvas is for when you insert a drawing object into a Word document? We wonder too and unfortunately, can’t answer that question. We can tell you how to get rid of it, though.

Go to Tools / Options and then the General tab. Uncheck the “Automatically create drawing canvas when inserting AutoShapes” checkbox and the click Ok. That’s it!

And that’s it for this issue. Remember – keep an eye out for our special report on how to keep your PC running quickly, efficiently and securely with as little of your time as possible.
